Former WLR Denny’s opens new hotpot and Korean BBQ restaurant

A new hot pot and Korean barbecue restaurant will open in West Little Rock later this year in the former Denny’s restaurant at 310 SS Shackleford Road. Flaming Hot Pot & Korean BBQ is also opening locations in Shreveport and Nashville, according to its website.
The Little Rock restaurant’s official Facebook page describes the restaurant as “a great place for hotpot and Korean BBQ” and encourages guests to “get actively involved in the cooking process.” We think this means tabletop grills and simmering pots will be on the table, giving customers the interactive experience of cooking their own meats and vegetables. Flaming Hot is expected to open in late 2024.
A similar concept store called KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot will open in North Little Rock in the coming weeks. KPOT has more than 70 branches in the United States, including one already opened in Jonesboro, Arkansas. In addition to the North Little Rock store, which is expected to open in late May, stores in Fort Smith and Rogers will also open soon, according to the company’s website.
The Arkansas Times needs to raise $25,000 to fund our new agriculture and environment reporter, who comes to us through Report for America. Without dedicated agriculture journalists, it would be impossible to tell the story of our state’s essential industry and its 243,000 workers. This isn’t just news, it’s recognition of the backbone of Arkansas’ economy. Every dollar you donate helps us achieve our goals and keeps agriculture at the forefront of our community. Take action now; 19 million acres of forest and the stories of countless hardworking Arkansans depend on it.
